What is Dicey Dungeons

As already mentioned, Dicey Dungeons is an indie roguelike. It is made in a nice 2D style and is somewhat reminiscent of Cuphead. Two add-ons have already been released for the game and, interestingly, you can get them for free.

The game process at first glance may seem a little strange. The user in Dicey Dungeons simply gets into a place where they have to fight monsters and other enemies, look for chests with weapons and equipment. All this is necessary in order to go through five exciting levels, and get to the last one, where you will have to fight the boss.

At the very beginning of Dicey Dungeons, the player needs to choose their character. There are six heroes-dice to choose from, each of which has its own specific characteristics, differences in fighting style and characteristics. However, the choice of characters is initially limited. To be able to choose any of them, you first have to defeat the bosses in the dungeons. Accompany the player on the journey will be nice graphics, good music and unexpected game twists.

Gameplay

The game will be very interesting for roleplayers. The fact is that the entire combat system in Dicey Dungeons is tied to randomly rolled dice. In battle, the hero has various equipment, protection and weapons. Cannons and lasers deal damage based on the roll of the die. At first it seems rather complicated and unusual. However, over time, the player quickly gets used to it and already sees how interesting and exciting Dicey Dungeons is.

In the game, you need not just mindlessly beat the enemy. Here you have to constantly think about your moves and dice rolls. It should be understood that the battle lasts a certain time and if it ends, then you will not be able to win. The battle itself is fought on a map with fields on which various bonuses and enemies are located. At the moment, Dicey Dungeons is fully Russified, so it will not be difficult to figure everything out.

Winning a battle isn’t just about luck. It is important to correctly combine items that are in chests or sold in stores. It turns out to collect a lot of them, but there are only six slots for equipment from the character. Moreover, some items can occupy two slots at once. Therefore, it is very important to be able to correctly combine equipment in order to deal maximum damage.

What is the result

We can say for sure that Dicey Dungeons turned out to be a rather unusual and interesting game. Of course, not everyone will like her. However, for roguelikes and achievement hunters, this is one of the best options in recent times. In addition, the cost of the game also attracts. Even on ordinary days, they don’t ask for much for it, and if you’re lucky to get on sale, then Dicey Dungeons can get almost free.
